I purchased two of these barrels from Ritch for the 2016 prairie dog season. Both are 24″ full bull in machine finish. I was able to develop loads of 40g, 39g, 24g,and 26g bullet weights that shoot extremely well. 1/4″ five shot groups at 100 yards were possible. One particular loading would do ten shots all under a dime at 100 yards. I shot 6000 rounds total, through the two barrel, in 2016 and shot another 1000 in 2017 (slow year for critters)
I have an equal amount of rounds through each barrel as I will shoot 100 rounds an hour average and switch out guns. Both barrels will still shoot 1/4″ groups after 3500 rounds each down the tube. Barrel cleaning was anywhere from 600 to 800 rounds before any type of cleaning and they both have had three full copper stripping’s with the first near 800 rounds and that one showing the most copper. I had no noticeable accuracy changes before the cleanings. The two following full cleanings showed very little to no copper fouling.
I am extremely pleased with how these barrels shoot and the overall quality if the material itself. I keep an eye out for overheating but I by no means babied these two barrels. If I had critters to shoot I would keep going until all of them were gone before stopping. The full bull profile absorbs this heat well. Very accurate and with my 80% kill rate from 30 feet out to 400 yards this caliber is just about the funnest thing you can shoot on prairie dogs. Set your scope up with a wide field of view and watch the pieces fly.

Was going for a 204 I called Ritch and he talked me into a 20 Practical. Best gun in my safe amazing accuracy out of my first wildcat.

Ordered a 20″ length 20 Practical barrel from Ritch. Barrel was delivered in a couple of weeks, though I expected it in a couple of months. Very satisfied in the time frame from purchase date to delivery date. Barrel arrived well packaged and in pristine condition. Began load development using the Hornady 32gr VMAX bullet. I temporarily put a 4-14x scope on it for load development as I intend to use a thermal scope for coyote hunting. To say the results were amazing would be an understatement. Very first group was .189″. I had to walk down to my target to make sure I was actually hitting it, as I could only see one hole. My buddy and I both were looking at the target with our jaws dropped. I shot seven more groups of different charges from that point and not a single group was over a 1/2″. I could not be happier with the overall customer service, as Ritch personally answers the phone and with the performance of this barrel. I am in not sponsored, endorsed, compensated or an employee of Ritch’s Precision Guns. I’m just a very satisfied customer and would encourage anyone else to take a look at what this company has to offer if your in the market for a new barrel.
